Day of Encouragement – Eastern Canada
Theme: “What will the future hold?”
Each day when we see the hurt and despair permeating our society and our world, we can quickly become discouraged. You are invited to join us for a day of learning and encouragement! Our hope is that the various speakers and workshops will provide insight and hope: for today AND tomorrow.
The purpose of this day is to provide space for deacons, leaders and interested people to rub shoulders with each other, get to know each other, share food, learn together, build community. This day is open to EVERYONE – anyone involved in diakonia: the act of bringing God’s presence to a suffering humanity.
Here are the details:
Date: Saturday, April 7, 2018
Time: 9am – 3pm
Place: Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Brockville, ON
Our keynote speaker for the day will be Pastor Sid Ypma, Chaplain at the University of Ottawa. We are also excited to offer workshops about Justice, Christians & Technology, Writing Great Benevolence Policies, and so much more!
