Communications Coordinator (PT)

Diaconal Ministries Canada is seeking a part-time Communications Coordinator (18 hours per week) to help share the stories, resources, and impact of diaconal ministry across Canada. This role includes managing digital communications, helping produce newsletters and reports, supporting promotional materials, and working with an amazing and fun staff team and partners to connect with deacons, churches, and supporters. The position pays $27.50-30.70/hour and is reviewed annually. The role is preferably hybrid, with one day per week in the Burlington CRCNA office and the remaining hours from a home office (fully remote may be considered for a strong candidate). Story Writers

Do you have the gift of story-telling?

Our e-Quip Diaconal Blog contains stories to inspire deacons and churches and to promote cross-pollination as churches share their ‘best practices’. We are always on the lookout for writers that can gather these stories and share what churches and deacons are doing in Canada. We know God is at work and He is using churches in amazing ways!

Join our team of experienced writers across the country and help us share what deacons are up to as they equip their churches to show and share the love of Christ.

We pay a modest stipend for stories, plus any expenses (like travel).

Volunteer With Us!

Mailroom Volunteer

Do you live in the Burlington area?

Do you have a few hours to spare 2-3 times per year?

Diaconal Ministries is looking for volunteers to help with our annual bulk mailings (NewGround Sunday & Fall Mailing to Deacons) which go out to approximately 220 churches across Canada.

If you like working with a small team to accomplish a goal, then this job is for you!

Event Planning or Catering

Do you have the gift of hospitality and/or party planning?

Throughout the year we hold board meetings and other larger gatherings, typically at our office in Burlington. Having a few extra hands in the kitchen would free up our staff to run the meetings.

We also hold large events like the Moving Forward in Faith Conference each November. Our planning team could use some fresh ideas and extra helping hands to make this event one that participants look forward to each year!
