People do not know what Operation Manna does? Who failed to communicate that then?
If people did not know what the old name meant, what guarantees us that the new name does?
If you need to spend lots of resources, energy and money changing the name and advertise what it actually does, could you not have saved the money and advertised Operation Manna better to your community?
I am not sure why, especially in the Reformed churches, do they always have to change the names?
Sorry, but I do not agree with such a waste of time and money.
Thank you for your feedback Hennie. We at Diaconal Ministries are sorry that you feel this way about our decision. We would like to assure all of our readers and supporters that making this change was part of a prayer-filled process and as a result we believe that the new name both honours the original intent of Operation Manna and will allow the new parts of the program to thrive, especially the Youth Justice component. We truly believe that God was part of this process from the beginning and we are excited to see where He leads this part of Diaconal Ministries in the future.
